1. 3 Meetings that happened last week
- Coalition SAUS will be meeting with Dr. Carstarphen at Space12. We ask each school to send 2-3 reps only. Please contact your school rep if you have questions.
- Austin Interfaith is having a large housemeeting of all its south and central Austin members and south Austin schools to discuss the proposed closure of 13 neighborhood schools in Austin. The meeting will be at the Travis Heights Elementary School cafeteria (2010 Alameda Drive) this Wednesday, February 9th at 6 pm.
- Bradley Meeting - concerning state wide efforts and AISD budget presentation. Tomorrow's meeting is in the theatre of the Carver Multicultural Center adjacent to the library, 6:00 pm. I asked Nicole Conley-Abrahms to share the facts about our budget crisis without the sensationalism of the media.
- Our normal Coalition SAUS meeting will reconvene 2/16 at Space12

4. One big component to our efforts to save the schools requires us to get involved with influencing our state legislators and Perry. There is a state-wide rally planned for March 12th to bring our efforts on the state/national platform. Go to www.savetxschools.org for more info.
